Ice Storm Slams Southern Ontario

Icy roads, bus cancellations, hydro outages and no sign of a warm up.

Orillia, Barrie, Simcoe-Muskoka remain under a freezing rain warning.The freezing rain will change to rain mixed with snow heavy at times through the morning then ending around noon.

The gusty wind will diminish this afternoon.

There are scattered power outages but most are in southwestern and midwestern Ontario.

School buses are off the road in Simcoe County and Durham Region.

Snow is expected tomorrow,  about 2 cm with a gusty wind.

There is no real warm up in sight.

The temperature could hit 10 degrees on Saturday.

The normal high for this time of year is 12.
