Owen Sound police are looking for witnesses and tips after the Summerfolk Festival headquarters was the target of criminal activity this week.
Someone broke into the Summerfolk Office on the second floor of the Nortown Plaza on 2nd Avenue East.
Police say sometime overnight Tuesday, the culprit(s) smashed the wired window of the main office door.
They say once inside, an undisclosed amount of money was taken.
One volunteer at the Summerfolk office mentioned to Bayshore Broadcasting News it's particularly disheartening because they're a not-for-profit organization.
The window in the door was quickly replaced.
Meanwhile, Summerfolk Organizers say they are looking for about 25 security volunteers for the festival itself which takes place August 17th, 18th, and 19th.
Of the 700 or so volunteers, that is the only remaining gap they need to fill and they add Smart Serve certification is an asset.
Owen Sound Police are asking anyone with any information about this crime to contact them at (519) 376-1234.
