A casino is coming to Wasaga Beach.

The town has announced that Gateway Casinos and Entertainment Ltd. has chosen Wasaga Beach as the site for a casino in our area.

The company was choosing between Wasaga Beach and Collingwood for the place to build a slot machine gaming centre.

Where in the beach still has to be determined.

A news release issued by the town states that around 400 jobs will be created and the town receive anywhere from $1.5 million to $2 million annually.

The casino will have about 300 slot machines.
