Wasaga Player Among U-S Best

A hockey player from Wasaga Beach is up for a big award in the NCAA.

Junior forward Vicki Bendus is one of two Canadians in the running for the 2010 Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award.

It's given each year to the top player in the NCAA Division 1 women's hockey.

Bendus has 62 points in 34 games for Mercyhurst College this season.

That's in Erie, Pennsylvania.

The award will be handed out on March 20th in Minneapolis.
