Fatal Fire Accidental

Stayner | by Catherine Thompson

A fire that killed a 7 year old boy has been determined to be not suspicious and was accidental.

The Office of the Fire Marshal and Emergency Management has now completed its investigation of the fatal fire in Stayner.

The four investigators have determined the blaze that killed a 7 year old boy was not suspicious and was accidental.

We still don't know how the fire started.

It happened Thursday night in a house on Highway 26 between County Road 10 and Klondike Park Road.

Four people escaped - but the boy was trapped inside.

A GoFund me account has so far raised almost $22,000 to help the family who lost everything in the fire.
