Residents of Goderich and the surrounding area are keeping their fingers crossed for a positive outcome in a national contest that could see Agricultural Park win $250 thousand in upgrades.
Canada's Prettiest Town is among four communities across the country to make the final of the Kraft Heinz Project Play contest.
Goderich Councillor Trevor Bazinet has been highly active in helping get out the on-line vote, and says the contest shows what the spirit of Goderich is all about.
He admits the wait for Saturday's final announcement is pretty nerve-wracking, and says there are still a few sleepless nights ahead.
Bazinet believes that the community will still be a winner in spirit, even if Goderich doesn't pick up the quarter-million dollar grand prize.
Each of the three communities that finish as runners-up in the Kraft Heinz contest receives $20,000.
A viewing party will be held in the Sky Harbour Lounge at the Maitland Recreation Centre during the Junior C Flyers' hockey game against Kincardine Saturday.
TSN will be broadcasting live from MRC, and will carry the Kraft Heinz announcement during half-time of the BC at Calgary Canadian Football League game.
