Weather Permitting

Here's What Might Happen Today

Hi this is Fred Wallace with " Off the Wire."

Weather Permitting......

You come to dislike that phrase at this time of the year, don't you ?

The weather has whacked a bunch of Bluewater Athletic Association events this week.

Scheduling sports is difficult to begin with, but scheduling around an academic calendar that gets whited out periodically can be a nightmare.

Nevertheless, Bluewater Athletics will persist and get the games done.

Looking ahead to Saturday, the 12th annual Senior and Junior Girls Volleyball Tournament will be hosted by the Owen Sound District Wolves.

16 teams are scheduled to compete.

Weather had a tiny impact on the Brokerlink Insurance Grey Bruce Major Curling League who had to ram all of their playoff rounds into one day last Sunday at Hanover.

Al Hutchinson's Ram Promotional rink won the Brokerlink title and currently, Hutchinson with the Paisley Curling Club and the Riches rink representing Collingwood are at the Ontario Masters Championship in Glencoe.

And finally, weather permitting, I'll see you tonight in Meaford as the Knights host Parry Sound in Greater Metro Junior Hockey play.

I'm Fred Wallace
