Hi, this is Fred Wallace with " Off the Wire ".
Well, that was quick- very quick.
The Cleveland Cavaliers eliminated the Toronto Raptors in the NBA Playoffs, sweeping their Eastern Conference semifinal in 4 straight games.
The fact Cleveland won the series isn't a shocker- the Cavs are a great team fronted by a player in LeBron James who easily is a candidate in any best-of-all-time discussion by those who know basketball.
I really don't know basketball, but I'm pretty good with optics and what I saw was far more than a sweep.
And at times, Cleveland seemingly toyed with the Raptors which at the professional level is difficult to do and for Raptor fans extremely difficult to watch.
And the watch in Toronto is now on.
What becomes of this group; not good enough to beat Cleveland 2 years ago and now even further away from being a serious contender ?
What becomes of star point guard Kyle Lowry who is expected to opt out of the final year of his contract with Toronto and become a free agent ?
And what becomes of coach Dwane Casey ?
The Cleveland Cavaliers dominated their series with the Raptors and deserve their place in the NBA Eastern Final, no question.
The questions for the Toronto Raptors meanwhile are plentiful.
