Attack @ London For Game 4 Tonight

Length:

Hi, this is Fred Wallace with " Off the Wire ".

Game 4 of the Ontario Hockey League Western Conference Quarterfinal between the Owen Sound Attack and London Knights goes tonight at the Budweiser Gardens in London.

The Attack lead the best of 7; 3 games to none by virtue of 3 one-goal victories, two of which were decided in overtime, so the margin between the two clubs has been much tighter than  3-0 would suggest.

Regardless, climbing out of a 3 game hole against a team that has won 4 of the last 5 head-to-head plus has home ice for 2 of the remaining 4 games on the schedule is a daunting task facing the Knights.

But having said that, it's been done before in the Ontario Hockey League Playoffs both by teams that were vastly better and vastly worse than this current edition of the Knights.

Witness the 2005 Windsor Spitfires, who had future NHL'ers Cal O'Reilly & Steve Downie on the roster as 17 year olds.

Down 0-3 to the veteran Sault Greyhounds who had 4 future NHL'ers including Jeff Carter & Tyler Kennedy, the Spitfires won 4 straight one goal games to stun the Soo.

Five years later in the 2010 Western Conference Championship, a much more gifted Windsor team with Taylor Hall & Ryan Ellis & more, completed a 4 game comeback rally against Kitchener and then went on to dominate the Memorial Cup at Brandon.

So it's been done before.

And if any team is capable of doing it to another team, based on the past 15 years of stunning turns of events........

We'll see what transpires tonight in Game 4 at London.

I'm Fred Wallace
