Three people were inducted into the Collingwood Hall of Fame

The Collingwood Sports Hall of Fame bi-annual Induction Ceremony will take place on Saturday at Blue Mountain Resort

 

For 2018, the Hall of Fame Selection Committee & Board of Directors will welcome 3 new members plus one team will be celebrated on the Wall of Fame

 

The three inductees Harold Horner, Michel Le Goaix ( luh-guay ) & Don Pollard are all being inducted as Builders

 

Horner coached 9 provincial & international championship teams during 20+ year coaching career in both hockey & baseball in Collingwood

 

Le Goaix created the Collingwood Cycling Club was an integral person in the career of two time Canadian Olympian Sue Palmer-Komar

 

And Pollard who played for the Oshawa Generals along with the Collingwood Greenshirts & Shipbuilders is being recognized for his many years of coaching & sponsoring Hockey & Baseball in the town.

 

The Wall of Fame Team will be the 2015-16 Collingwood Blackhawks Atom AE Hockey Club who won the OMHA - AE Championship plus the Regional Silver Stick Championship.

 

The Collingwood Sports Hall of Fame Induction Night on Saturday marks the 44th year since the Hall’s inception when its founder Scotty Carmichael introduced the inaugural members, a membership that has grown to 158 sporting personalities and 39 teams.
