Hi, this is Fred Wallace with " Off the Wire ".
Let's discuss two playoff scenarios in 2 totally different sports.
First, the NFL.
All the home teams won last weekend to advance to the final 4.
Of note, I was 3 for 4 on my selections this week, only the Chargers failed to come through.
Regardless, that sets up our two Conference Championship Games this Sunday.
In the AFC, the Kansas City Chiefs host the New England Patriots while in the NFC, it the LA Rams visiting the New Orleans Saints.
Since I've called for Kansas City to win the Super Bowl, they'll win the AFC Game and I'll go with the home team again in the NFC Game with the Saints to prevail.
Meanwhile, on another playoff level, the Brokerlink Insurance Grey Bruce Major Curling League Playoffs commence tonight at 9 pm in Port Elgin.
Truthfully, the playoffs may have started Monday night at Owen Sound Blue Water when Wade Walsh shaded Joe Rettinger in the Tiebreaker Game to claim the final playoff spot in the loop.
With the win, Walsh now competes in the " B " Flight and will take on Steve Gregg tonight, while the other " B " matchup has Mike Hamer taking on Shawn Kaufman.
In the " T " Flight tonight it's Brett McAllister against Al Hutchinson while Don Bartley will go against Scott Davidson.
Playoff action continues for 3 weeks followed by the Quarterfinals in early February and Championship Sunday at Chesley on February 17th.
I'm calling the Chiefs to win the Super Bowl & we'll see who wins the Brokerlink Major Curling League.
