Hi, this is Spencer Byers with " Off the Wire. "
Since Fred has done such a rotten job of NFL Playoff picks, I'm going to take over and give you my call for the Super Bowl
Fred has gone 4-6 and we have agreed that I will have the crack at the Super Bowl.
The New England Patriots are going to there 3rd straight Super Bowl being 1-1 in the past 2.
The Patriots under the Brady-Belichick era have gone to 8 Super Bowls going to there 9th, having a record of 5-3. This year they have a 11-5 regular season record.
The Patriots have had a dynasty that we have never seen before. Since 2001, They have won 5 Super Bowls, have been to 8, they have won there division every year except 2002 and 2008, they have made the playoffs every year except 2002 and 2008, and they have been to 9 conference championships in 2001, 2004, 2005, 2007, 2011, 2014, 2016, 2017, and now 2018.
This is a era of dominance that we may never see again
Now on to the Los Angeles Rams, they have emerged as one of the best teams in all of football under the coaching of Sean McVay who is the youngest head coach in Super Bowl history.
The Rams put together a 13-3 record tying for the best record in all of football. Of course the Rams don't have the same resume that the Patriots have with them only making the playoffs 5 times since 2001. But with the new regime having made the playoffs last and this season, and having one of the best roster you could assemble with one of the best pass rushers in Aaron Donald, the best running back in Todd Gurley plus many more.
The Los Angeles Rams could dethrone the Patriots once and for all.
This is a re-match of the 2001 Super Bowl, with the Patriots coming out on top and kicking off the Brady-Belichick Dynasty.
The favourites are the New England Patriots and I can't disagree, I think it will come down to one drive and I think Brady do what he does best and lead his team to glory for the 6th time. I think the Patriots win 27-23.
