Hi, this is Fred Wallace with " Off the Wire. "
We're gearing up for a significant weekend of Ontario Hockey League action in Owen Sound as the Attack will host the Erie Otters in a pivotal doubleheader Saturday night and Sunday afternoon at the Harry Lumley-Bayshore Community Centre.
In fairness, the OHL isn't the only hockey in these parts, these days.
The Pollock Division semifinals opened in Mount Forest last night as the Patriots beat Mitchell 5-2 in Game 1.
The Wingham Ironmen-Kincardine Bulldogs semifinal begins tomorrow night at Wingham.
Also commencing tomorrow night is the WOAA " A " Semifinals as the Lucknow Lancers travel to Tavistock and Milverton opens in Elora.
And finally, the most compelling playoff hockey to this point might be coming out of the WOAA " AA " Quarterfinals where everybody is on the board.
The Saugeen Shores Winterhawks have to win tomorrow night at the Plex against Tillsonburg, otherwise their season is over as they trail the Thunder 3 games to 1.
Meanwhile tomorrow night in Clinton, the Radars and Seaforth play Game 5 of their series which is all tied at 2.
Then on Saturday the other " AA " Semifinals resume.
In Shelburne, the Muskies are down 3-1 to Minto and need a win to stay alive.
Plus, in Ripley, the Wolves and Durham Thundercats will play a pivotal Game 5 in their series.
After Ripley won the opener with a lopsided 9-2 count, the following 3 games were one goal affairs leaving that best of 7 deadlocked at 2 heading to the Wolf Den tomorrow night.
Great Hockey at every level
