Canadian Men's Fastball Championship at Charlottetown, PEI The Owen Sound Verge Investment Selects won twice yesterday, shading the Glace Bay Mets of Nova Scotia 3-2 and scoring a 9-2 win over Quebec. Ben Wideman scored twice for Verge Investments in the win over Nova Scotia. Andy Skelton drove in 3 runs in the win over Quebec Owen Sound is 5th in the standings at 4 & 3 with 2 final round robin games set for today. At 11 am Owen Sound meets Waterloo & at 2 pm Owen Sound takes on New Brunswick The Selects will host the Canadian Championship Tournament next year at Duncan McLellan Park.
Bluewater Fastball League The Owen Sound Brick Brothers Volkswagen Midget Selects took both ends of their doubleheader at Chepstow winning, 4-2 & 4-2. Caleb Keeshig was the winning pitcher in both games for Owen Sound Adam Long & Adam Stuck both had 3 hits on the night for Brick Brothers The annual Bluewater Championship Tournament is September 10-12 at Chepstow
